Culture Night – RTE

RTÉ Celebrates Culture Night this Friday September 20, broadcasting on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player from 8pm on Friday evening. Denise Chaila presents a curated array of exclusives celebrating the richness of Irish culture, with performances that promise to captivate audiences nationwide.

Coming from The Round Room in Dublin’s Mansion House, this special programme interweaves an eclectic lineup of performances. Among them was Cathleen’s orchestration of the song A Safe Place to Hide by Joe Chester and Emma Hayes (pictured).

The evening also included musician David Gray embarking on a dream voyage to Skellig Michael, accompanied by his longtime friend Colm Mac Con Iomaíre. This journey, supported by the OPW and The National Parks and Wildlife Service, is one which Gray has envisioned for decades. Skellig Michael inspired both the title and cover art of his latest album.

Well Hello, Dolly…

Currently doing transcription work for Dolly Parton’s Musical “Hello, I’m Dolly”.  This is something of a slow burner, as this projects can be. The show should be hitting Broadway in 2026. Working on this project through Matt Smith at London Music Preparation.
